Soil Resistivity Measurements & Soil Model Development
Soil is an inhomogeneous medium with subcomponents that include solid soil particles, ionic liquid and humid air. Consequently, the soil resistivity depends on the mixture of solid, air and liquid elements. Depending on the type of soil, the values of soil resistivity may vary significantly.
We perform field measurements for determining the soil resistivity. Moreover, we generate equivalent soil models that can be used for the design of an effective grounding system.
Our analysis is in compliance with IEEE std. 81 and EN 50522.
